Posting a Calendar Event

Go to

Log in at the middle right side of page “Log in to Post or Register Here” Click on “Log in” if you have previously registered. If you forget your password it will allow you to enter your email and the system will send you a new password. (Once you log in you can change the password to whatever you want to use).

At the Dashboard find “My Calendar” and click on the drop-down menu “Add New Event”. A new “Add Event” page opens. Fill in the blocks down the page and then “Save Event”. Don’t worry too much about missing things or mistakes – you can “Manage Events” later.

Event Description area – choose “Visual” or “Text” to enter – I always use Text as I am comfortable with that. Visual gives you WYSIWYG view. In text mode you can add media, add content block and/or enter add contact form.

Add an image: you can add a URL to the Event image (usually on the event web site).

Event Short Description is what shows in some views.

Event Host will default to you – I can change that if it is wrong.

Event Date and Time: enter start and stop days and times if you have it. You can note recurring events or not.

Event Location: choose preset from the drop-down menu if available – or enter your location after you enter the location name. If the location appears in the drop-down menu you do not have to re-enter.

Choose your scheduling options and “Save Event”

Note that event does not show up on the calendar before the week of the event (or seven days if there are not too many events).
